Amy Touchette

Amy Touchette is a Brooklyn-based photographer who specializes in street portraiture. Trained at the International Center of Photography, she began her artistic career as a writer and painter, earning a BA in Literature and Studio Art and an MA in Literature. Amy’s first monograph, "Shoot the Arrow: A Portrait of The World Famous *BOB*," was published by Un-Gyve Press in 2013. Other publications include "Women Street Photographers" (Prestel, 2021) and "Brooklyn Photographs Now" (Rizzoli, 2018). Her second monograph, "Personal Ties: Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn," will be published by Schilt Publishing (Amsterdam) late 2021. She's currently at work on several medium-format street photography series, as well as her ongoing series of un-posed smartphone portraits of strangers, "Street Dailies," which are released regularly on Instagram. She’s represented by ClampArt in New York City and Little Big Galerie in Paris, France.
